I have been fishing several spots off shore at selfridge with mixed success.Oct 25, 2015 · Usually start fishing about 8am til 11 or so then the bite seems to slow. Over 100 caught consistently with us taking home 25 to 35 each time. We only keep eight inches and up and we had some beautiful slab perch this year. Water in almost every area was still stained with floating weeds. Real tough fishing today. Only three bass today in our boat ..... funny though, the water right in front of the Selfridge barracks was 100% crystal (5.5ft) clear while every area out to the middle channel mouth was still dirty. The second came in the St. Clair river in the summer of 01' on a jerkbait. I was in complete awe the first time it happened.
