No idea why. You wouldn't be uploading them to the RRP 696 (that's the intercom), you'd be uploading them to the RM-60 (the radio). If you have the RM-60, it's a VHF-only radio. FRS/GMRS frequencies are UHF, so they won't work in the RM-60. Your alternative would be to load the MURS frequencies, which are VHF.
